School closings for Wednesday, May 8

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI)- Early school closings due to severe weather.

MISSOURI-

Cape Girardeau County Schools- No after-school activities, all activities cancelled.

Perry County District #32- Dismissal @ 1p.m.

St. Vincent Catholic School, Perryville, Mo.- Due to the incoming weather, all after school sports activities are CANCELLED for today, Wednesday, May 8. After school care and preschool after school care is going to remain open with the same hours.

Leopold R-III School District- Tonight’s Scholar Athlete Ceremony is being moved to tomorrow, 5/09 at 6 PM in the gym. All after school practices, tutoring and activities for today 5/08 are canceled due to incoming weather.

Oak Ridge R-VI Schools- A severe thunderstorm is predicted for 3:00, Oak Ridge dismissal time. Student drivers will be released at 2:50. Oak Ridge bus riders and student walkers will be held for safety until the storm has passed. Our plan is to release bus riders and walkers at approximately 3:45. Please feel free to pick up your student prior to the storm, if you choose to. We will continue to update as necessary. A message will be sent out when buses leave the district.

Notre Dame Regional High School- Campus will close at 3:30 today. All afternoon/evening activities are cancelled. Pop Concert will take place Monday at 7 p.m.

KENTUCKY-

McCracken County High School, Heath Middle, Reidland Middle, and Lone Oak Middle will dismiss beginning at 10:45 a.m.
Heath Elementary, Concord Elementary, Lone Oak Elementary, Hendron-Lone Oak Elementary, Lone Oak Intermediate, Reidland Elementary, and Reidland Intermediate will dismiss beginning at noon.
Please note the following adjustments:
• There will be no afternoon preschool sessions.
• All after-school activities are canceled.

ILLINOIS-

Carterville Unit School District #5- As we continue to monitor the potential inclement weather in our area, we want to assure you that we plan to remain in session until normal dismissal times. As the forecast continues to evolve in real time, if students need to be held due to weather at regular dismissal, we are prepared to hold and adjust accordingly. If that occurs, we will send another message announcing the delay.

Vienna High School- Due to severe weather, VG Cheer tryouts will be cancelled for tonight. We will still be on for Thursday 5-7 and Fri 4-5. We are going to add on Sat 5-7.

Herrin Community Unit School District No. 4- The following programs have been cancelled for today: Stars, Tutoring, and all other after-school programs. Furthermore, be aware that all sporting events have been cancelled and there will be no practices today.

If you need to make any transportation changes for your child, please contact their teacher or their school office as soon as possible.

TENNESSEE-

Obion County Schools- ESP and all after-school activities are canceled for this afternoon.
