School officials, students mourn after death of Dyersburg High School student

DYERSBURG, Tenn. (KBSI) – A student a Dyer County High School in Dyersburg, Tennessee died Wednesday.
According to a message posted on the Dyer County School’s Facebook page, one of the students became unresponsive on August 14 at school.
He was given assistance by staff then transported to the Dyersburg Emergency Room where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the student has not been disclosed. No word on the cause of death.
“He was a cherished member of our school community, and his loss will be deeply felt by his family, our students, administration, teachers, and staff. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of this student during this difficult time. Once funeral arrangements are made, we will communicate them to our school family and stand ready to assist the family in any way. Again, today is a very sad day, and we ask you to join us in praying for everyone involved.”
