Scott City community mourns teen’s death

SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Scott City Police Department is acknowledging social media posts circulating about the death of a teenager in Scott City.

Police said the incident remains under investigation but is not expected to be a criminal matter.

Out of respect for the family, the department said it will not release additional details.

Officials asked the community to keep the family, the community and first responders in their thoughts.
