Scott City man passes away after being struck by train

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – A man was struck by a train and passed away from his injuries.

According to the Cape Girardeau Police Department, on October 13, 2024, at about 10:00 p.m. officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department responded to the area of N. Main and Park for a report of a subject that was struck by a train.

Officers arrived on scene and determined the victim to be deceased.

The victim was identified as Kraig Blair age 32 of Scott City, MO.

After investigation evidence indicates Blair was laying on the train track when the train struck him.
