Scott City school community mourns death of kindergarten student

SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Scott City R-1 Schools announced Tuesday that a kindergarten student has died.

District officials said they learned of the student’s death earlier in the day. Limited information is available at this time due to an active investigation, according to the district.

School officials said updates will be shared as more information becomes available. The district asked the community to keep the student’s family and the school community, particularly elementary students and staff, in their thoughts during the difficult time.
