Scott City schools go on lock down and dismiss early after threat

SCOTT CITY, Mo. (KBSI) – The Scott City School District was placed on lockdown after a report of a student being in a bathroom with a shotgun was made.
More than 50 deputies, officers, and highway patrolmen responded.
The school was placed on lockdown and according to Scott County Sheriff Wes Drury they conducted two searches and found nothing.
They believe this was a hoax call at this time.
Students were released to parents early as an extra caution.
