Scott City students explore Chicago museums, landmarks during spring trip

SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Students from Scott City R-1 Schools traveled to Chicago April 24-26 for a trip filled with cultural attractions, museums and sightseeing experiences.

According to the district, Scott City High School and Middle School students visited several landmarks and attractions during the trip, including the National Museum of Mexican Art, Shedd Aquarium, Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.

Students also visited Navy Pier and viewed the iconic Cloud Gate sculpture.

The group also experienced 360 Chicago from the 94th floor of the John Hancock Center and sampled several local food destinations during the visit.

School officials said the trip gave students an opportunity to experience art, culture and history while creating lasting memories together.
