Scott County deputies investigating overnight vehicle break-ins

BENTON, Mo., (KBSI) – The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of reported vehicle break-ins that occurred overnight in a neighborhood along Judy Street.

Deputies responded to the area early Friday morning after receiving multiple reports of vehicle tampering. Residents in the affected subdivision who were not contacted by deputies are encouraged to check home security cameras and inspect their vehicles.

Anyone who discovers evidence of tampering is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (573) 545-3525 for assistance.

Officials are reminding residents to keep vehicles locked and remove valuables from inside.
