Scott County Sheriff’s Office investigates string of vehicle break-ins

SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) — The Scott County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a string of overnight vehicle break-ins and thefts in the Mini Farms area north of State Highway HH.

Deputies responded to about 10 reports of vehicles being unlawfully entered overnight. Investigators believe the incidents occurred in the early morning hours.

The sheriff’s office is asking residents to review their home security footage and report any suspicious activity. Authorities remind residents to lock their vehicles and remove valuables each night to reduce the risk of becoming a victim.
