Section of US 51 South in Hickman County closed due to floodwaters

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A section of U.S. 51 South in Hickman County, south of Clinton, is temporarily closed as crews work to remove a commercial vehicle that was swept off the roadway by floodwaters.

The semi, which disregarded road closed signs, came to rest in a flooded area between the 4- and 5-mile markers, near the intersection of KY 2209 and KY 780.

Motorists should expect delays and consider seeking alternate routes. There is no estimated duration for the closure.
