SEMO alumnus helping lead FIFA World Cup fan experience in Dallas

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A Southeast Missouri State University alumnus is playing a key role in planning one of the largest fan experiences during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Mark Lee, a SEMO graduate, is serving as a project manager for the FIFA Fan Festival in Dallas, where he helps coordinate entertainment, sponsor activations, logistics and operations for thousands of soccer fans from around the world.

According to Southeast Missouri State University, Lee works behind the scenes to ensure the fan festival runs smoothly as visitors gather to celebrate the world’s largest soccer tournament.

The FIFA Fan Festival is one of the signature attractions of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, offering fans a place to watch matches, enjoy live entertainment and participate in interactive experiences throughout the tournament.
