SEMO discovers time capsule during Brandt Hall demolition

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Demolition crews at Southeast Missouri State University uncovered a piece of the past while tearing down Brandt Hall.

The university announced a time capsule was discovered during the demolition of the longtime campus building. Officials said the capsule will be opened soon, though a date has not been announced.

Brandt Hall is being demolished to make way for future campus development. Before the time capsule is opened, the university is inviting the public to guess what artifacts or memorabilia may be inside.

The university said more details about the opening will be shared at a later date.
