SEMO Emergency Response Drone Team says they used a drone in Cape Girardeau area

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – SEMO’ s Emergency Response Drone Team says they released a drone today to help aide in an investigation.

According to the SEMO Emergency Response Drone Team’s Facebook page they utilized a drone today, December 19, 2024 around 2:30 pm to help assist the Cape Girardeau Police Department in a stolen vehicle investigation.

They say they were operating on the west side of Interstate 55 near the 96–98-mile markers.

With increased drone sightings and attention on drone use they say their department will always work to update the public when they are in use.
