SEMO Food Bank announces mobile food pantry locations for the week

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Southeast Missouri Food Bank has announced its mobile food pantry schedule for the week, with distributions planned across six counties.

Mobile food pantries are available to residents of the county where each distribution is held.

In Cape Girardeau County, a mobile pantry will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Fruitland Community Church, 6040 U.S. Highway 61 in Jackson. The distribution is sponsored by Fruitland Community Church.

In Carter County, a distribution will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Ellsinore General Baptist Church, 12 E. Broadway in Ellsinore. The event is sponsored by East Carter Community Bread Shed.

Two distributions are planned in New Madrid County. The first will begin at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Morehouse Community Church, 404 S. Benton St. in Morehouse. Another will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at The Garden Shed/Bootheel Cultural & Performing Arts, 110 N. Main St. in Gideon.

In Pemiscot County, a mobile pantry will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Braggadocio Crossroads Church, 4238 State Highway J in Braggadocio.

A Stoddard County distribution will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, inside Essex City Hall, 201 N. Cypress St. The distribution is limited to Essex residents. Proof of address is required, and recipients must be present.

In Wayne County, a distribution will begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Mill Spring Fire and City Hall on Birch Street. The distribution is limited to Mill Spring residents. Proof of address is required, and recipients must be present.
