SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — An industrial park in Southeast Missouri has become the first site in the state to earn a Platinum designation through the national REDI Sites program.
The 380-acre SEMO Industrial Park in Scott City received the designation, which provides an independent assessment of a site’s readiness for industrial development.
SEMO REDI officials said the designation could help Southeast Missouri compete for new businesses, investments and jobs by providing companies and site selectors with third-party validation of the property.
The industrial park has access to Interstate 55 and is located near the Southeast Missouri Regional Port Authority and Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.
The REDI Sites program evaluates properties based on factors related to development readiness and their ability to accommodate prospective projects.
