SEMO Pets hosting mobile adoption event in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — Southeast Missouri Pets will host a mobile adoption event and pet food drive Saturday, May 30, at Roost in Cape Girardeau.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Roost, located at 39 N. Broadview St., and will celebrate the shelter’s 50th anniversary.
Organizers say adoptable dogs from SEMO Pets will be available during the event, with reduced adoption fees set at $100 for dogs and puppies.
The event will also include complimentary burgers and hot dogs provided by the SEMO Military Order of the Devil Dogs, along with treats from Ty’s Summer Sno and Simply Swirled.
Community members can also donate a 15-pound or larger bag of Purina dog or cat food at Roost through May 30 for a chance to win Roost gift certificates.
The event is supported by Team Huber, The Design Bar by Roost and the Military Order of the Devil Dogs Kennel.
