Over his time at SEMO, DeLaurent has been an incredible leader, both on and off the field, while at the Academy DeLaurent hopes to help instill those qualities into the next generation of Quarterbacks. DeLaurent says he feels that leadership is one of the most important intangible qualities for a professional quarterback.

DeLaurent is also looking forward to and anticipating the chance to learn from Peyton and Eli Manning himself during their daily throwing session with the current and future Pro Football Hall of Fame Quarterbacks. Where DeLaurent expects to learn pivotal football information that may be unknown to the average coaching staff

As for what’s to come this season from the senior siginal caller, DeLaurent says he feels healthier than ever after a collarbone surgery that sidelined him the second half of last season. DeLaurent tells us that he gained an extra 15 pounds over the course of the offseason and can throw the ball better than ever before.

On top of that DeLaurent also told Fox23 that he feels forming lasting friendships and connections with your piers can prove to be even more powerful in becoming a better man not only for his team, but for his future as well.
