SEMPO to host public meetings on transportation improvement plan

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Southeast Metropolitan Planning Organization will host two public information meetings to gather input on its 2027–2030 Transportation Improvement Program.

The program outlines a prioritized, multi-year list of federally funded transportation projects within the SEMPO metropolitan planning area.

The meetings will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, at the Osage Centre, 1625 N. Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau, and Thursday, April 2, at the Jackson Civic Center, 381 E. Deerwood Drive in Jackson.

Officials said the meetings will be open house-style and are intended to provide information and receive public feedback.
