JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KBSI) – State Sen. Jamie Burger is congratulating two Southeast Missouri veterans — Frank Robinson of Perryville and Roger Brooks Sherman of Sikeston — on their induction into the Missouri Veterans Hall of Fame.

“These men exemplify what it means to serve, not only through their military service, but through decades of leadership and dedication to their communities afterward,” Burger said.

Robinson served as an infantry platoon leader in Vietnam and later became a key advocate for veterans, helping establish Missouri’s National Veterans Memorial in Perryville and leading numerous community initiatives.

Sherman served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and went on to spend 38 years as an educator, coach, and administrator in Sikeston. He has also been active in civic organizations such as Kiwanis, dedicating his life to serving youth and veterans throughout the region.

Burger said Southeast Missouri is “incredibly proud” of both honorees for their continued service to country and community.
