Serious multi-vehicle crash restricts traffic in Energy, Illinois

ENERGY, Ill., (KBSI)— Authorities are responding to a multi-vehicle crash with serious injuries at the intersection of Pershing and Grand Avenue, according to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

Traffic in the area is restricted, and drivers are urged to use alternate routes until the scene is cleared. Officials warn of significant delays and a heavy presence of first responders.

The Energy Police Department is leading the investigation, while the Illinois State Police are conducting accident reconstruction. The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and Crainville Police Department are assisting at the scene.

Residents are asked to avoid the area and allow emergency crews room to work safely.
