Serious three-vehicle crash closes IL-148 near Waltonville

WALTONVILLE, Ill., (KBSI) – Emergency crews are responding to a three-vehicle crash on Illinois Route 148, about two miles east of Waltonville near the Big Muddy River.
One vehicle is reported to be on fire, and another has rolled over. Air medical assistance has been requested.
Authorities say the roadway will be closed for an extended period, and motorists are urged to use alternate routes while the scene is being cleared.
