Several fire departments put out blaze at abandoned home in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Several fire departments put out a fire at an abandoned house in McCracken County on Monday.

West McCracken, PGDP, Kevil, and Concord fire departments responded to the area of New Liberty Church Road for report of a residential fire, according to firefighters from West McCracken Fire/Rescue.

Firefighters found a single story abandoned house was found to be fully involved in fire when they arrived.

Units on scene put out fire on the surrounding vegetation, protected exposures and prevented the fire from spreading.

Approximately 1200 gallons of water was used.

The cause is unknown.
