Sheriff: 3 face drug charges after several types of drugs found in East Prairie

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. (KBSI) – Three were arrested after the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office executed a searched warrant in East Prairie.

A deputy and a captain executed the search warrant on Spring Lane on September 20.

The search warrant yielded multiple grams of weed, multiple grams of methamphetamine, several pills of unprescribed narcotics, and multiple paraphernalia, according to Mississippi County Sheriff Britton Ferrell.

Angie Abner, 60, Roam “Lenny” Britt, 61, and Nancy Sylvester, 41, all of East Prairie were arrested on charges of possession of controlled substance with bonds set at $5,000 cash/surety.

“This was good police work gathering evidence and working an investigation which led to other arrests,” Sheriff Ferrell said about the arrests in a post on the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. “All of the individuals arrested have been cooperative with our office, and information gathered will result in other investigations and possible arrests.”

Abner and Sylvester have bonded out, awaiting a court date. Britt remains in custody pending a court date and has an additional pending charge of bringing contraband into a county jail.
