LYON COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is reminding drivers to clear snow and ice from their vehicles before traveling after a recent incident on U.S. 641 North.
Deputies said a driver suffered multiple lacerations from broken glass when snow or ice dislodged from another vehicle and struck his windshield while driving on the highway.
Authorities said county vehicles have experienced similar close calls during recent winter weather.
Officials urged motorists to take extra time to remove snow and ice from vehicles before driving and to buckle up, noting the hazards posed by flying debris on roadways.
