Sheriff’s office joins mutual aid training with regional response team
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The county sheriff’s office took part last week in mutual aid training with the Region E Homeland Security Response Team, officials said.
The session focused on rope rescue and rappelling techniques in coordination with Jackson Fire & Rescue, the Cape Girardeau Fire Department, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety and the Stoddard County Ambulance District.
Sheriff’s officials said joint training enhances safety and strengthens the ability of agencies to respond effectively when the community needs them most.
