Sheriff’s office: Paducah man arrested for hitting woman in face, head with gun

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah man faces charges after police were called about a physical domestic altercation on Hovekamp Road on Feb. 15.

McCracken County sheriff’s deputies responded to a call around 2:17 a.m. on Tuesday.

Daniel J. Gaines, 39, of Paducah faces assault 1st degree domestic violence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon charges.

He is accused to using a handgun to struck a woman in the face and head.

The woman was taken to a hospital.

Gaines was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
