Sierra to open first Missouri store in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Sierra, a multichannel off-price retailer offering active and outdoor products, will open its first Missouri location Saturday at West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau.
The 20,000-square-foot store will feature apparel, footwear and gear for the whole family at prices the company says are 20% to 60% lower than department and specialty stores.
To mark the opening, Sierra will host a celebration beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, with music from a live DJ, giveaways and a “hidden hang tag” activity offering chances to win Sierra gift cards.
“We’re thrilled to open Sierra’s first store in Missouri and become part of the Cape Girardeau community,” said Amanda Johnson, Sierra’s assistant vice president and marketing director. “From exploring local trails to catching a game at Arena Park, this is a town that truly embraces the outdoors and we’re proud to support that lifestyle with premium brands at prices that make it easier to get moving.”
As part of the launch, Sierra will donate $10,000 to a local charity.
The store, located at 3049 William Street, will be open Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sierra is also hiring full- and part-time associates; applications are available at Careers at TJX Companies | Home.
