Sikeston Department of Public Safety’s mobile command truck assists in tornado recovery efforts

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — Following recent tornadoes, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety deployed its mobile command truck to assist in disaster recovery efforts in Wayne County and surrounding areas.
The truck, a grant-funded regional asset, played a crucial role in supporting the Region E Homeland Security Response Team. However, its deployment was briefly hindered by a blown tire.
Fortunately, White’s Truck Repair from Neelelyville, Missouri, provided exceptional service in repairing the tire, ensuring the truck could continue its critical work.
“We appreciate the kindness and support of businesses like White’s Truck Repair,” said Chief James McMcMillen. “Their assistance is a testament to the strong community spirit we serve.
