Sikeston Disaster Recovery Center in Sikeston to close for 1 day

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – The State/FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC)in Sikeston will be temporarily close for one day on Saturday, August 24. This due to the YMCA performing annual building maintenance.

This is located at 511 Taylor Street in Sikeston.

All DRCs are closed on Sundays. The center will reopen Monday morning (August 26) and resume regular hours until further notice:

  • Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A DRC is a one-stop shop for disaster survivors who have applied for FEMA assistance to present additional documentation or get information about their cases.

The DRC opened to those affected by recent natural disasters in the area to provide relief.

FEMA staff and representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to help survivors apply for low-interest disaster loans to help fund recovery efforts.
