SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Sikeston Taco John’s restaurant will reopen Nov. 13, nearly a year after a tornado destroyed the previous location and other structures in 2024.

Local owners Sonny Pratt and Dawn Cook rebuilt the restaurant at a new site at 810 South Main Street in Sikeston. Daily hours will be 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 10:30 a.m. daily.

“We are blessed to be part of this community that has become our home,” Cook said. “The people we have met as customers are more like family, and we can’t wait to be back supporting the community.”

Taco John’s President and CEO Heather Neary praised the owners for their commitment to reopening.

“Sonny Pratt and Dawn Cook exemplify what it means to be part of the Taco John’s family,” Neary said. “They demonstrate resilience by rallying support for others within the brand and the Sikeston community. We’re grateful for their partnership and look forward to supporting them as they bring Taco John’s signature West-Mex menu and sense of home back to the Sikeston area.”
