Sikeston woman killed in crash in New Madrid County
NEW MADRID COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A Sikeston woman died in a crash in Kewanee early Friday morning.
Staci K. Bersine, 48, of Sikeston was driving a 2005 GMC Envoy on US 61 at Route P in Kewanee when she ran off the road and struck a tree, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. It happened around 3:17 a.m.
Bersine was pronounced dead at the scene by New Madrid County Coroner George Delisle at 4 a.m. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
This is the third death for Troop E in 2022.
