Silent auction to help raise money for dental treatment

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Helping people to have healthy teeth and smiles is important. That’s why the Oral Health Coalition of southeast Missouri is hosting the Sensational Smiles Fundraiser.  

The fundraiser is an online silent auction that started on March 18 and ends on March 24 at 12 pm.  

Dotty Gholson with the Cape County Health Department says that the money raised will support dental treatment for those unable to afford it. 

“Because usually, we find some urgent needs on the children when we do the Dell screenings in the schools and then the adults all adults have some issue of some kind usually for dental needs whether they can get it paid for that’s another story so have people that,” said Gholson. 

The Sensational Smiles Fundraiser goal is $5000.
