SIU alumna to compete in 2024 Paris Olympic Games
(KBSI) – A Southern Illinois University alumna will represent Team USA in the Olympic Games in Paris.
Deanna Price announced on her Facebook page that she is “honored to be able to represent team USA at the Olympic Games in Paris. It was a crazy competition, but we’re now heading on to PARIS 2024!!!
She placed second in the women’s hammer throw with a throw of 74.52 meters.

I would really appreciate help to get my family to PARIS to watch me throw! ❤️
It’s been an amazing journey and I know having my family there would mean the world to me! In 2016 looking up and seeing my family got me to be one of the best of the world. I know having them in my corner in Paris will get me a step even farther!
