PERRYVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — A St. Vincent De Paul preschool student was reunited with a cherished item this week thanks to the persistence of a school maintenance worker.

School officials said the student had lost a bracelet, it had slipped down a drain on Monday and remained stuck overnight. Maintenance employee Eric carefully retrieved it the following morning and returned it to its young owner.

Administrators praised Eric for going “the extra mile” for students and staff, saying the act of kindness turned an ordinary day into something special.

“Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.

Today we want to give a big shoutout to our maintenance hero, Eric! A preschooler’s special bracelet had slipped down the drain yesterday, and after being stuck overnight, Eric carefully worked it out and delivered it back to its very happy owner this morning.

It may seem like a small act, but to our preschool friend, it meant the world. Thank you, Eric, for always going the extra mile for our students and staff. You remind us that kindness, patience, and a helping hand can turn an ordinary day into something truly special.”
