Smithland woman arrested on drug charges

SMITHLAND, Ky., (KBSI) — A 26-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday evening during a home visit by deputies with the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Probation and Parole.

Doris Thorn, of Smithland, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal possession of a legend drug after law enforcement found methamphetamine, paraphernalia and prescription medication.

Thorn is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
