Southeast Coalition for Roadway Safety offering grants for law enforcement

(KBSI) – The Southeast Coalition for Roadway Safety is offering a grant opportunity to law enforcement agencies beginning May 15.

Regional grant funding will be used to cover the cost of requested equipment that will help reduce the number of fatalities and serious injuries on roadways.

Agencies must provide justification on how the equipment will help make Missouri’s roads safer.

Submissions will be accepted May 15- June 18.

Awards are based on the following criteria:

  • Traffic data and statistics
  • Proposed impact of the request on reducing traffic fatalities and serious injuries
  • Participation in the enforcement campaigns with MoDOT Highway Safety Division
  • Involvement with the Southeast Coalition for Roadway Safety
