Southeast Missouri Food Bank earns BBB accreditation

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Southeast Missouri Food Bank has earned accreditation from the Better Business Bureau, recognizing its commitment to accountability and transparency.

The food bank underwent a thorough review process, meeting the BBB’s Standards for Charity Accountability.

These standards ensure that an organization has proper governance, measures performance, practices sound financial management and provides accurate fundraising materials.

“By meeting these standards, Southeast Missouri Food Bank demonstrates its commitment to accountability and transparency,” said Michelle Corey, BBB president and CEO.

The food bank serves 140 charitable and disaster relief programs in 16 counties in southeast Missouri, providing food to those in need.
