Southeast Missouri Food Bank to hold food distribution, resource fair

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – September is Hunger Action Month and the Southeast Missouri Food Bank is taking action.

Monday, September 9 the SEMO Food Bank is hosting a mobile food distribution and resource fair at the Sikeston location at 600 State Highway H.

From 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., attendees can:

  • Receive a free food box
  • Access resources like VA assistance, childcare help, job training, SNAP assistance and more.

Camille Peters, Chief Impact Officer at the SEMO Food Bank, says the goal is to connect with the community, hear their stories, and provide support.

“We want to help our neighbors and make a difference,” said Peters.

All southeast Missouri residents are welcome to attend.
