Southeast Missouri Food Bank grant to provide 40,000 meals

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — Southeast Missouri Food Bank has received funding that will help provide an estimated 40,000 meals to people across its 16-county service area.

The food bank announced it is a recipient of a Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines Member Impact Fund award through a partnership with First State Community Bank.

The funding will support the organization’s efforts to address hunger throughout Southeast Missouri.

Southeast Missouri Food Bank serves communities across 16 counties through its network of partner agencies and food assistance programs.
