Southeast Missouri man to stand trial on sodomy and child pornography charges

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — A southeast Missouri man will stand trial on charges of sodomy, attempted sodomy and possession of child pornography after a judge ruled there was sufficient evidence to proceed.
Jesse K. Todd appeared in Division II Court on Thursday before Associate Circuit Judge Bradley Jarrell for a preliminary hearing. Prosecuting Attorney Sawyer Smith presented testimony on behalf of the state.
Judge Jarrell found probable cause on each element of the charges and ordered the case bound over to Division I Court for further proceedings.
Todd remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before Circuit Judge Rob Mayer on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025.
