Southeast Missouri State University graduates 21 new police officers
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Southeast Missouri State University’s Law Enforcement Academy graduated 21 new officers Thursday during a ceremony at the Show Me Center.
The graduates completed the academy’s 19-week training program, which combines practical and classroom training. Twenty of the new officers will serve in 11 counties in southeastern Missouri.
The academy has achieved a 100% pass rate on the P.O.S.T. exam for the seventh consecutive year.
The university’s Law Enforcement Academy offers flexible educational options, including a bachelor’s degree or a stand-alone certificate in law enforcement.
