Southeast Missouri State University names Dr. Brad Hodson as sole finalist for President

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – The search for the 19th President of Southeast Missouri State University has reached an exciting milestone, with the Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC) unanimously recommending Dr. Brad Hodson as the sole finalist for the position.

The PSAC, comprising representatives from faculty, staff, students, Foundation, alumni, and the external community, has been working diligently since September to identify a candidate with a demonstrated record of success ¹.

Dr. Hodson, executive vice president of Missouri Southern State University, has shown significant experience in raising external resources, working with the Legislature, and engaging with students, among other strengths [1).

The PSAC believes Dr. Hodson is well-equipped to lead SEMO and build on the university’s strong foundation.

As part of the final stage of the search process, Dr. Hodson will visit SEMO on Feb. 12, participating in two open forums and meeting with individuals inside and outside the university.

The campus community is invited to attend the open forums, scheduled for 9-10 a.m. and noon-1 p.m. at Dempster Hall-Glenn Auditorium.

Dr. Hodson’s CV and an online feedback form will be available on the campus portal starting Feb. 11, with feedback due by 5 p.m. on Feb. 12.

The Board of Governors will consider the input and make a final decision on Dr. Hodson’s candidacy after the campus visit.
