Southeast Missouri State University partners with girl scouts to empower girls’ education

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI)- Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Community Troop Program to support post-secondary education efforts for girls across 28 counties in Missouri.

This partnership aims to provide financial assistance to Girl Scouts who have earned the prestigious gold, silver, or bronze awards.

Through SEMO’s College Access Program, these exceptional individuals will receive scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 annually.

The Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri Community Troop Program focuses on empowering girls to become leaders and change-makers in their communities.

By collaborating with SEMO, the organization seeks to encourage girls to pursue higher education and unlock their full potential.
