Southeast Missouri State University teams up with Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority to improve student access

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Southeast Missouri State University’s Board of Governors has approved a partnership with the Cape Girardeau County Transit Authority to improve student access to transportation.

The agreement transitions campus shuttle operations to the transit authority, expanding transportation options and improving service. The partnership will maintain existing shuttle routes while providing students with greater mobility and access to community destinations.

The transit authority’s expertise is expected to improve route coverage and scheduling, resulting in a more convenient and reliable experience for riders.

The partnership will also reduce administrative burdens and operational costs for the university and alleviate the financial burden on Student Government.
