Southeast MO State selected for Princeton Review’s Best Colleges for the Midwest

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Southeast Missouri State University is selected as an institution on The Princeton Review’s 2024 Best Colleges for the Midwest region.

The Princeton Review selects 630 colleges with outstanding academic quality in seven regions which makes up 25% of all four year colleges in the nation.

One hundred fifty colleges are selected, without being ranked, in the Midwest Region to guide college searches. The full list of colleges in the Midwest can be found on the Princeton Review website.

Over 2,000 college administrators are surveyed annually collecting information on academics, cost, campus life, student population, policies, and services, according to Southeast Missouri State University. Additionally, student surveys help rate the institution.

Comments about Southeast include  “small class sizes” with “personal attention” and a “wide range of majors,” along with the comment “they try to make everybody feel welcome.”

According to Southeast, the institution focuses on high-quality education for a low cost with 80 percent of academic programs holding specific accreditations with various accrediting bodies. Southeast’s undergraduate domestic applications are due by Dec. 1, 2023 for fall 2024. Students are automatically considered for admission and scholarships with one application.
