Southeast MO State University plans several COVID-19 vaccination clinics

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Southeast Missouri State University is offering several opportunities for faculty, staff and students to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.

Several on-campus vaccination events are planned. Below are opportunities confirmed so far. Unless otherwise noted, these are walk-in clinics and no appointment is necessary:

The University has a goal to achieve a 70% vaccination rate for students, faculty and staff by Nov. 1.

A $25 give away to the first 2,000 students receiving either a first or a second dose between Aug. 26 and Oct. 1 at a vaccination clinic on campus. Students who submit proof of full vaccination will also automatically be entered to win one of 200 cash prizes of $500 or $250.

If the 70% vaccination rate goal is met, students, faculty and staff will enjoy a weeklong Thanksgiving holiday break. Classes scheduled for Nov. 22-23 will be cancelled and offices will be closed Nov. 22-26. Learn more about the Give Away, Get Away program.
