Southern 7 Health Department hosting free COVID-19 PCR tests Wednesday

CAIRO, Ill. (KBSI) – The Southern 7 Health Department is hosting two Wellness on Wheels health screenings Wednesday, May 11.

The first WOW event is at Shawnee Community College in Cairo, Ill. from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The second WOW event is at Shawnee Community College in Ullin, Ill. from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Free services available:

  • NARCAN training
  • home colon cancer test (FIT)
  • blood pressure screening
  • medication disposal packet
  • COVID-19 vaccine & booster

Charged services available:

  • blood lead, hemoglobin and cholesterol screening
  • STD tests (chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis)
  • HIV, pregnancy, and TB skin tests
  • well water test

They will be offering free COVID-19 PCR tests at the Ullin site from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Call more information call 618-634-2297, visit southern7.org.
