Southern Illinois Healthcare hosts career exploration event

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) – Southern Illinois Healthcare and Southern Illinois University School of Medicine will host their third annual Career Exploration Event on Wednesday, April 16, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Carbondale Civic Center.

The event will bring together over 30 physicians and advanced practice providers from various medical specialties.

First-year medical students will have the opportunity to connect with providers and explore potential career paths.

The event aims to provide mentorship and exposure to diverse medical fields, fostering a stronger future workforce in Southern Illinois.
