Sprocket’s pitch competition coming to Paducah’s Maiden Alley Cinema

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Sprocket’s West Kentucky Innovation Challenge Pitch Competition will take place May 14 at Maiden Alley Cinema, featuring five entrepreneurs from four local startups competing for a grand prize.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 6 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

This year’s competing startups include WholeNote, Santerre International, Weather Brother, and DataRovers.

Monica Bilak, executive director at Sprocket, said the competition is about celebrating bold ideas and hometown grit.

The event is being hosted in collaboration with Maiden Alley Cinema, with executive director Caroline Few saying it highlights the theater’s ability to host events beyond film screenings.
