St. Francios County Emergency Management strongly urges residents to evacuate before dam fails
ST.FRANCOIS COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A levee near St. Francois County is at high risk of failing.
According to St. Francios County Emergency Management the levy near Iron Mountain Lake is in danger of failing.
They are strongly urging residents near Iron Mountain Lake to evacuate.
They say this is not a mandatory evacuation, but it is strongly encouraged.
Those who evacuate are encouraged to take important items and pets with them.
St. Francios County Emergency Management posted on their Facebook page that by evacuating voluntarily, you will help ease the burden on our emergency services, allowing them to respond more effectively.
